Radisson Blu Hotel Krakow Wins Sustainable Development Award

The Radisson Blu Hotel in Krakow has been awarded the top position in the "Leaders of Sustainable Development" contest. The Krakow hotel won the contest which was organized by the Forbes Magazine in Poland.
Radisson Blu hotel is located at the center of Krakow and is the first hotel in the world to hold the BS 8901 Certification. This certification which was worked out by British Standard International in 2007 is very strict in its demands in the field of sustainable meetings and events management. The Krakow hotel has worked on all three priorities of this certification by reducing the negative impact on nature, increasing the positive impact on the local community, and reducing the costs of production and exploitation.
The certification allows the Radisson Blu Krakow to give unique offers like the "Green Conference Package" which include meetings held keeping the rules of sustainability in mind. The meetings offer various sustainable practices in the package including responsible waste separation, usage of recycled materials, food planning and transportation aimed at minimum CO2 emissions.
